PayPal is emailing sellers to inform them of changes to its Resolution Center. These are different from the policy changes it announced in late September that are rolling out this month, covered in this AuctionBytes Blog post.
In its email notification, PayPal said the enhanced experience to the Resolution Center would be available to recipients beginning January 20, 2025.
When logged in, PayPal displays messaging that states the new Resolution Center is more simplified with new tabs and updated features. “Send a refund to your buyer or share info easily using our quick actions menu,” it states. “You can also go to your case or transaction details from here.”
New tabs that help with responding to cases include: Needs your attention; Open cases; and Inquiries (for new cases that would need interacting with buyers). The site also says it offers the ability for merchants to personalize their tables – and to personalize messages to buyers.
The email sent to sellers last week featured the subject line: “We’ve made some changes to the Resolution Center” and read as follows:
Hello, (Name redacted)
Resolution Center: What’s changed and why it’s better
We’ve got some exciting news for you.
Say goodbye to the old ways of handling your cases and get ready to welcome the new experience.
With the new process,
- Share different types of documents or info to back up your cases.
- Submit evidence only once for a case. Your responses will be shared with your buyer and in case we need more info, we’ll reach out to you.
You’ll have 10 days to respond to a case. The reduced response time means faster case resolutions and better chances of getting your money sooner.
This enhanced experience will be available to you from January 20, 2025.

Thanks for choosing PayPal.
It’s not clear if PayPal is making the new Resolution Center changes available to all sellers at once or on a rolling basis.
